Author’s note
Yes, it’s the year of the dragon for the Chinese New Year. I had been saving these Swarovski fame rhinestones for a special project, and the idea of a fire-breathing dragon called out to me. This is a bit of a collage technique. The dragon figure is a modified decal in a shiny gold. The background and fire stream elements are hand painted using Flashe paint and other acrylic mediums. The hardboard had some dings in it, which I intentially did not address, because I wanted a bit of an old-sign vibe to this piece.
